THE RETURN OF THE DANCING DEMOISELLES

Ahh my old favourites return!

Graceful on the wind like that of a pirouetting ballet dancer when the reality is that other flying insects live in mortal fear of. A hunting and expertly winged predatory eagle eyed death on the wing Damselfly.

BROAD BODIED CHASER DRAGONFLY FEMALE - LIBELLULA DEPRESSA

Another text to a brother for some taxonomy!!

KNew it was a Dragonfly but which one and I was not familiar with this one, on seeing the name I could see why it was called a chaser and I have a video of this female flitting back and forth in a triangular fashion before hovering for about a minute before moving on.

The females, I am told, are bright blue and now I am keen to see not only the males but many more Dargonflies to boot!!
