RARE DAY & SOME RARE DISCOVERIES

Well due to a difficult atmosphere and despite pain and the weather going from Sunny to shite yet again I ended up out .. where I knew some rare things were around ..

Person with me bottled out when I saw a marshy land with a much lighter patch of green and I had a gut feeling that one of the things I was looking for was in the patch in in flower ..

Extremely rare plant only found in two tiny locations in England is the Creeping Marshwort, Apium repens .. and sure enough I found it!!

The one with me was blown away later when he realised I had found it .. not lost my touch it would seem ..

Also see a Jewel Beetle, Agrilus laticornis, said to be on the ed Data List along with a Common Blue Butterfly, Polyommatus icarus, and a male Reed Bunting, Emberiza schoeniclus.

Well I am back at my conundrum nature spot and if I thought what I saw in the Spring with the four colours of PRIMROSES was mad that was NOTHING!!

All in the same HOUR?!?!

All in the same place as magicallt appearing Orchids and Wild Primroses including those of impossible reds, oranges and lemon sherberts, lol

I KID YOU NOT!

My brother Ryan had just got into his home from work when he received a text message saying 'What Butterfly is brown with Orange spots around the edges of the wings?!' which was shortly followed by 'SEE YOU IN 5 MINS' to which he did an about face and ten minutes later ARRIVED along with my nephew Jamie, lol.

Late last night, 16th August, I sent him pictures I did on my FOURTH faulty phone from.....ARGOS. LMAO, after editing and resizing and I had pretty much decided and he then confirmed that we did indeed see Brown Argus Butterflies (PMSL you cannot make it up) along with Common Blue Butterflies, Holly Blue Butterflies and most bizarre of all Chalk Hill Blue Butterflies?!

I have never seen TWO together, though my insect enthusiast brothers likely have, but what happened yesterday afternoon completely stunned my brother Ryan who admitted now that there is something decidedly odd going on at this location.

Not helped by spotting several alien species of WASP SPIDER!!

I will now start to focus on Butterflies and Moths a great deal more for the rest of the summer....that is IF it ever arrives?! LOL.

DAY OF THE ORCHIDS - COMMON BLUE BUTTERFLY - POLYOMMATUS ICARUS

The Common Blue Butterfly was finally spotted, photographed and filmed no less than THREE TIMES on a day that was full of discoveries with British Orchids too?!

If these captures had been spread over two long days I still would refer to them as the two most productive days I had EVER had!! But these were all in a single day and I would have acquired more had I not become exhausted and had eaten something BEFORE I ventured out or even just into the park itself?!
